Former wholesaler · Founder, Revamp 365

I ran a wholesaling business. Then I shut it down to build the software I wish I'd had.

I'm Drew Farnese. I write about what actually moves deals for real estate investors: follow-up, AI that knows its limits, and running lean. I've seen it from both sides of the CRM.

01 — The story

Operator first. Builder second.

When I was wholesaling, leads weren't what kept breaking. Follow-up was. The lead came in, somebody called once, and then it sat. The tools were duct-taped together, and the deals fell through the cracks between them.

Hiring more people didn't fix it. A follow-up system that depends on someone remembering isn't a system.

So I shut the operation down and started building Revamp 365. It's an AI-native, all-in-one platform for investors where the AI does the follow-up work instead of sitting on top as a feature. These days I spend my time on the product and on what I see across our customers' businesses.

02 — What I believe

A few things I'll argue about.

  1. Most investors don't have a lead problem. They have a follow-up problem.

The money is in the fifth to twelfth touch, and most leads never get a second one.

  2. Your CRM isn't the problem. Nobody on your team uses it.

Adoption beats features every time. The best tool is the one that does the work without asking.

  3. “AI-powered” means nothing.

Ask what it actually does when you're not in the room. If the answer is “drafts a message,” that's a feature, not an employee.

  4. Guardrails belong in code, not in the prompt.

An AI agent once tried to make a seller a cash offer. Now it can't state a price, because the code won't let it, not because we asked nicely.

  5. Cold calling isn't dead. Most callers are.

The channel isn't the problem. Talk time and calling back are.

  6. Stop buying more lists.

Work the one you have harder first.

03 — Watch

The series: Why I quit wholesaling.

Short, unedited episodes from my desk about what broke, what I built instead, and what AI is still bad at in this business.
